Long list of todos for the Temperrosa. And here are whispers of Car no 2, an EV.
For the Temperrosa, post race inspection revealed a few things. Aside from the front struts, most things held up pretty well. Oil change didn’t have any surprises, so our last minute head gasket change, seems to have worked out. Then there is a bunch of safety stuff like
- front suspension – the $90 struts failed on day 2, so think we have a strong case for this being a safety item and we’ll spend a bit more to get better coil overs.
- steering rack – we just disconnected the power steering to save on weight, but it actually made the steering vague. so going to an actual manual rack, after selling the power steering components.
- kill switch – lets just say current setup works, but not for hot pit refuel…more about that another time.
Then there are LOTS of opportunities to make a bit more power, cut weight and add some aero.
There are whispered concepts for a fast battery swap car for Lemons. We’re inspired by the folks below.
