A core part of Lemons is being able to generate additional budget for non-safety parts of the build, by selling parts from the car.

In our case, nearly 50% of the build budget is comes electric motors. By 1987 the 924 had an electric pop-up sunroof, an electric actuated trunk lock, popup headlights and electric windows.

We don’t need any of this stuff, but anyone who is restoring a 924 of 944, is likely interested. Before we purchased the car we did some rough math with low end prices.

When we purchased the car, only the driver window was working. At first pass it looked like just missing or failed relayed or fuses, but we had other priorities so just removed things and left them in a parts bin.

Finally got to test all the motors and they work! So we might actually make our Lemons budget now!
