We’re deep into inspection and seal replacement on the front of the engine, chasing a few different leaks. Not a real surprise to find a bunch of failed seals. Think belts are consumables, but the seals come out the $500 budget…more on that in the future, but we’re finding some valuable things to sell like automated sunroof bits.
Anyway, one of the interesting discoveries is damage to the existing balance shaft sprockets – along with the source of the supercharger sounding whine from a loose balance shaft belt. Cant see much damage on the belt, but the sprockets seems like they’ve had better days. Will try smooth out a bit so this doesn’t damage the new belt.
